Who is responsible

What this site collects

Nothing directly. This is a static website: there are no accounts, no comment function, no contact form, no newsletter and no shop. No cookies are set, no local storage is used, and there is no analytics, tag manager or tracking pixel of any kind.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Netlify (Netlify, Inc.). Like any web host, Netlify processes the technical data your browser sends in order to deliver the page: IP address, the requested URL, time of the request, referrer and user agent. This data is used to serve the site and to protect it from abuse. It is not combined with any other information, and it is not used to build a profile of you. Netlify's own privacy notice covers this processing.

Fonts and images

The two typefaces are served from this site's own domain, not from a font CDN. Your browser therefore makes no request to Google or any other third party in order to render the page. All photos and downloads are served from this domain too.

The TEDx video

The talk on the home page is shown as a still image with a play button. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. If you do press play, an embedded player from youtube-nocookie.com is loaded, and from that moment YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) receives your IP address and can process data according to its own privacy policy. If you never press play, no connection to YouTube is made.

Outbound links

Pages on this site link to external sites: LinkedIn, YouTube, news coverage, and, inside the archived blog posts, a range of sites that were current between 2017 and 2021. Following a link is your decision, and the site you land on is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

The archived blog posts

The archive contains posts published between 2017 and 2021, preserved as they were written. Some of them contain links that were affiliate links at the time. They are no longer maintained or monetised, and no tracking has been added to them; they remain only because the posts are kept unchanged.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected here beyond the server logs described above, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe data concerning you has been processed, write to reg@itsicherheit.li and it will be dealt with. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Liechtenstein Data Protection Authority.

Changes

If the site changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated with it.
